SMART ACCESS INFORMATION
Thanks for your interest in Smart Access. Smart Access is a monthly
technical journal devoted completely to Microsoft Access. Like all of
Pinnacle's journals, Smart Access contains no advertising. Instead, it
packs each issue full of tips, techniques and other information for
the serious Access user.
Every issue includes a Smart Access companion disk at no extra cost. The
companion disks include sample databases with all the tables (with sample data),
forms, reports, queries, macros and Access Basic code discussed in the articles.
This means you will never have to type in the macros or code discussed in an
article ever again. Instead, you'll be able put the expert information to
work immediately. And, as space permits, we'll also throw on the disk related
Windows shareware and freeware utilities and demos of Access add-ons.
Smart Access subscriptions go for $79 per year, including monthly companion
disks. The charter Feb. 93 issue will be mailed towards the end of
January, 1993. The following articles are in the charter issue:
. Developing in Microsoft Access by D. Browning & S. Leszynski
. A Soundex Function for Access by P. Litwin
. Printing Plain ASCII Reports by H. Feddema
. Naming Objects in Access: A Proposed Standard by S. Leszynski &
G. Reddick
Feature articles already in the works for future issues include
"Understanding & Extending Referential Integrity", "Moving to Access
from Paradox", "Moving to Access from FoxPro", "A Detailed Overview
of Queries", "Maximizing Access Performance" and "Accessing the
Windows API from Access".
In addition to the feature articles, every issue of Smart Access will
contain lots of short, instantly usable Smart Tips like the following tips
contained in the charter issue: "Viewing System Objects", "A Global
Variables Form" and "Access' LDB Files", "Autoexec Macros" and
"Table Design Tips".
If you would like to give Smart Access a try, please call:
800-788-1900 -or- 206-251-1900.
Pleas note: currently, we cannot take subscriptions over
CompuServe, so please call the above numbers if you would like
to start a trial subscription.
This is a no-risk offer. If you are not happy with the first issue,
you can cancel and get a full refund of your $79. So give us a call.
And always feel free to contact me via CompuServe about any and all
editorial concerns you may have or if you wish to contribute to the
publication at some time in the future.
Thanks again,
Paul Litwin, Editor
